Message from the Principal

Oak grove has indeed come a long way with the completion of 122 years of existence. I feel honoured and proud to lead such an institution steeped in history and tradition. But we must realize that basking in past glory will only retard our progress into yhe inevitable future. My vision for oak grove is to mould the uncertain future with the good point s of the past, to provide the holistic education to my students ,to gear them to face challenges of a modern,fast and technologically controlled world with acumen and confidence.

Academics received the neccesary fillip with the introduction of provincial admission of class X in class XII empowering these students with coaching classes in all three streams (science,commerce and humanities) changes are inevitable and to survive,we have to adapt and setup a work culture with those ethics that bring out the best in teacher and they taught. Environmental awareness ,and social responsibility, are the part of truly educated man and keeping this view in mind ,various clubs have been introduced like eco-club,litrary club, science club etc. to inculcate leadership qualities and provide necessary platform for imagination and creativity which are the hallmarks of prestigeous institution as oakgrove.

Demonstration classes ,seminars,powerpoint presentations made the teaching learning process more interactive and interesting thus paving the way and setting the way of charachter building eqipped with knowledge with deep sense of social responsibility towards one and all.

This is an age of information and technology and it is imperative that my students are provided with the necessary facilities to equip themselves to acuire knowledge,to learn with joy and pleasure aided with audio visual aides.both the computer laboratories in boys and girl section was installed with broadband internet connections to empower all with 24hr. internet facility and literally give world in their pockets.

Oakgrove has always endeavoured to provide all round development to its students intellectualy,spiritually and physically. health problems across three campuses were dealt with effectively and crowning glory was amuch needed dental check-up which took care of all dental problemsof the students the best news of year was listing of oakgrove as world heritage site and much needed fac lift to building and infrastructure was given in sprucing up of different class room setting up of new and attractive study rooms for boys and girls section thus providing them with an atmosphere that would bring out best in them.

Last but not the least the momentum towards progress is to be only kept alive by enthusiasm.it is the irreversable sense of energy that children find so attractive and contagious.

So dear teachers lets light the match and our students will carry the torch of enlightenment and glory.
